Welcome to the Copleston Church & Community Centre

Welcome to the Copleston Church and Community Centre, a space for everyone in the heart of Peckham. Every week, more than 500 people join us for activities from Thai-Chi to community singing. This multi-cultural, multi-purpose community centre grew around Copleston Church, a joint Church of England and United Reformed Church with a thriving congregation.

Built during the rapid development of south London in Victorian times, Copleston is tucked away down a side street. It's worth making the  effort to find us and try something new - you might become a regular! Many of our groups are run by local residents and some have been going for over 35 years.

Alongside the church, people of all faiths and none join in activities from Scout groups to Soca classes and drumming workshops. We also have a community space available to hire at affordable rates for events and activities.

ANNOUNCEMENT!

We are having some necessary IT work done for the next few days. We will not have access to our computer systems or our website.  Please bear with us  - we hope to be back to normal next week.

We are recruiting!

Do you have 2 years building management experience?

Do you have 2 years staff and volunteer management experience?

Then you might be who we are looking for! Copleston is growing and developing fast and we need to respond to the increasing demand on our facilities. We are seeking to employ an Operations Manager with a focus on facilities management with some fund raising work. This is a part-time role, which we hope will develop into a full time Centre Manager's role to include human resource management.

The focus of the work will be over seeing the smooth running of the centre and the building, including maintaining equipment and the fabric of the building, fundraising and working with our hirers and activity co-ordinators. Promotion of our facilities is also key to this role. This is a church building so you will have to be sympathetic to a Christian ethos and work alongside Church wardens.

For more information please contact Edward Collier vicar@coplestoncentre.org.uk

Application is by covering letter and CV. The closing date in midnight on 1st March 2020. Interviews will be held on 16th March 2020.
