Creative Therapies

The Copleston Centre has a well-established track record for community based activities and services for people with mental health concerns. We provide a wide range of classes and sessions which bring people together. We offer a self, welcoming space where people can socialise and get in touch with their creative side. They are open to everyone, so please come along and find out more.

“It’s an opportunity to be yourself, in a social environment, but with no pressure,” explains Walter, who comes to various Creative Therapies sessions. “You can be as quiet as you want, you can engage as much as you want, it’s a very nice environment.”

You can hear Walter talk about his experiences at the centre in this video.

The best way to find out is to see for yourself. We have a range of open-access services such as:

Wednesday Drop-in (10.30am–12.30pm)
A relaxed, friendly and inclusive atmosphere to enjoy a social space with games, healthy snacks, and with some creative therapies available. Everybody is welcome; come and check us out!

Thursday Pilates (1.00–2.00pm)
Gentle stretching and exercise to improve physical and mental fitness.

Thursday Art Cafe (2.15–3.45pm)
An open session where anyone of any ability is encouraged to express themselves through a range of media and techniques.

In addition we provide therapeutic services, for which an assessment must be carried out:
Art Therapy (Thursdays 12.00–1.30pm over 10 weeks), and Counselling Service (individual and group sessions available on Mondays). To make an appointment please telephone: 020 7732 3435, or e-mail: counselling@coplestoncentre.org.uk
