Begue Begue Drumming

Join Mohamed Gueye for a 1.5 hour class learning traditional West African rhythms on the Djembe drum. Beginners, advanced and everyone in between are welcome and will be challenged at their own level. Working as a team to create a rhythm is not only beneficial for co-ordination and timing, but it has been proven to aid mental health and a positive mind-set. If you have your own drum please bring it! Mohamed is an extremely experienced teacher, working in schools, colleges and universities as well as at festivals across the UK every year. He runs an annual 2 week workshop in his home country of Senegal for people to come and immerse themselves in the rich traditions and culture, learning drumming and dance!

Classes are at 7.30pm-9pm every Thursday evening throughout the year.

Classes are £10 drop in, £3 drum hire if needed (advanced notice required)
