Copleston Church & Community Centre is one of the founder members of Peckham Citizens, an alliance of civic institutions that work together tackle social injustice locally. We put people in Peckham at the forefront of making their neighbourhood a fairer and better place for all.
The current focus of our work is on affordable housing, specifically to ensure that the London Borough of Southwark honours its pledges. Additionally we are actively campaigning to ensure the redevelopment of the Aylesham Centre will be something of real benefit to the people and communities of Peckham, and are currently promoting a Petition against a Tower in Peckham. We’re currently on nearly 3,500 signatures and getting noticed! Please add your name to the petition.
Peckham Citizens is part of the national charity Citizens UK, which organises communities to act together for power, social justice and the common good. It develops the leadership capacity of members so they can hold politicians and other decision-makers to account on the issues that matter to them.
